| These poor remains of what once was a megalithic burial chamber, can hardly be called a hunebed any more. D44 is the only hunebed in Holland that still is private property. The rest are owned by the state or the province. D44 can be found in the front garden of a farmers estate in the hamlet Westenesch west of Emmen. |
